ABOUT

 Paddington Youth Enterprise Ltd (PYE) is a not-for-profit company set up in 2014 with social enterprise aims. It has three Youth Directors on its board, and operates in the area of North Paddington and Brent South.

As a business, its main aims are:

*to promote work opportunities for local youth by creating casual labour projects

*to develop the business acumen of youth, and to provide trade for private business suppliers

THE TREES FOR CHRISTMAS PROJECT

For the past four years, PYE has been involved in the sale of mainly cut and potted Abies Nordmainniana (Nordman Fir) Christmas trees, with a local church (St Lukes), and Millward Forestry.

​

The project has created casual employment for a number of local youth throughout the winter months each year, supervised by adult volunteers, and creating a social benefit for the church, and trade for the supplier.

It is a triple whammy for customers, who obtain a quality product in terms of a holistic service of supply, including installation and tree disposal, employment of local young people, and trade for private business.
